Rihanna stuns in yellow as street is named after her

She's had the ultimate honor bestowed upon her by having the street she grew up on as a child renamed after her.
And Rihanna certainly ensured all eyes were on her as she attended the official ceremony to unveil the newly-named Rihanna Drive in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Wednesday, marking the Caribbean island's Independence Day.
The Grammy -winning singer, 29, looked incredible as she turned heads in a bold canary yellow shirt-style mini-dress from Hellessy, which hung off her shoulders to showcase her decolletage.
The Shut Up And Drive hitmaker complemented her thigh-skimming number with matching stiletto heels and a tiny purse, huge gold hoops, several necklaces and spangly bracelets added a bling factor to Rihanna's look as she joined Prime Minister Freundel Stuart at the two-hour ceremony.
The pop princess wore her raven locks piled on top of her head and accentuated her naturally striking looks with low-key make-up.
In spite of the rain, Rihanna seemed in high spirits as she attended the ceremony, smiling and waving to fans as she strolled through the streets of her hometown.
The songstress also shared a snap of the sign itself on Instagram on Thursday.
In the image, the new hardware can be seen attached to a wooden post, along with the caption 'on any block.'
The Work hitmaker grew up on Westbury New Road in the Caribbean island's capital Bridgetown, and last month officials decided to change the name of the avenue to honor the local 'superstar'.
The statement read: 'The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honor of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road.'
Rihanna is fiercely proud of her Bajan heritage and has kept strong links with the island, regularly traveling back to see friends and family and attend the annual Kadooment Day street party.
The musician was discovered in Barbados back in 2003 by music producer Evan Rogers and moved to New York City in 2005 when she signed a record deal with Def Jam after auditioning for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid.
Rihanna went on to become the first-ever Barbadian to win a Grammy and still owns a $22million property on the island's exclusive One Sandy Lane resort.
In December 2016, the songstress joined forces with Prince Harry during his 15-day tour of the Caribbean.
As well as teaming up for a series of celebratory events to mark the country's 50th anniversary of independence, the pair both volunteered for HIV tests to highlight World Aids Day.
In 2012, the singer said growing up in Barbados gave her 'a thick skin' because she was 'teased about being biracial' while she was at school.
Speaking in an interview with ITV, she explained: 'A lot of the reason why I am the way that I am and my character has a lot to do with my culture.
'It really helped to have a thick skin coming from Barbados. I definitely had to learn fast how to ignore things or not let it bother me.
'From the time I was very young, I was teased about being biracial. That was one of the first things I dealt with, then it went on throughout high school.
'If it wasn't one thing it was the other thing. In my home, a lot of the things I saw helped prepare me for this world.'
Rihanna - who is now in a relationship with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel - is believed to have a net worth of $230 million as of April 2017.
The star has amassed eight Grammys throughout her career and is one of the best-selling artists of all time, bagging fourteen number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

After Jude by Dashia. Chapter 9

Jessica my sister could be a real pain in the butt, sometimes, I thought she was meant to have been Fatima's sister. It was my fourth day back home in Abuja and she'd refused going back to school so she'd be with me... She could be sweet too. We'd done all the house chores and since Almighty NEPA wanted us to know they were our superiors, we stayed in darkness. My mum was asleep and my dad had gone to work. So as not to feel extra bored, I played Black Eyed Peas' 'I gotta feeling' and the girl kept jumping and dancing like a monkey. My brother had had enough and begged me to stop the song as Jess wouldn't just dance but sing along with it. "Please... if you love me as much as you claim... Stop this song." He begged. I shook my head with so much emphasis. "No." "Watch and learn baby." She said dancing towards him in a strut. "What does he want to learn in your monkey dance?" I asked her. "At least...

Floyd Mayweather Sues Ex

Floyd Mayweather accuses ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson of theft. Floyd Mayweather is accusing his former fiancée Shantel Jackson of stealing “large sums of cash” during their relationship, a legal move that comes days before her domestic violence lawsuit against the boxer is due to get a trial date. The undefeated fighter made the theft claim in a cross-complaint filed this week along with his formal answer to Jackson’s 2014 lawsuit alleging assault, battery, invasion of privacy and defamation. When Jackson first sued three years ago, she accused Mayweather of choking her during an argument, pointing a gun at her head, posting a sonogram photo on Facebook and publicly accusing her of aborting their twins. Jackson and Mayweather had an 8-year romantic relationship and lived together from 2008 through 2013, the boxer’s new paperwork filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court states. Mayweather claims Jackson gained his confidence during that time and learned intimate detail...

After Jude by Dashia. Page 2

I was cooking when he came into the kitchen. I liked it when he was around, Jude had a way of making me smile, I didn't know how he did it but he always made me smile. I was preparing rice and stew, he had said he didn't want something much so he wouldn't have to waste it. I on the other hand, had wanted making it a party for both of us... well, a farewell party for the now, he was done with school and was going to serve. I was proud of him, I wanted to celebrate it but he said no. He didn't mind celebrating it but he wanted celebrating it with just me. After I had come over, we had gone to his family house. His parents and immediate younger sister were home. She'd helped put some of his stuff together while I helped mumsy in the kitchen. His family was my family, I'd had a hard time blending in, but once I got the heat of everything, they became family, I became family. They had wanted us to stay for supper, I had turned down the offer, my excuse being that...
