Rihanna stuns in yellow as street is named after her

She's had the ultimate honor bestowed upon her by having the street she grew up on as a child renamed after her.
And Rihanna certainly ensured all eyes were on her as she attended the official ceremony to unveil the newly-named Rihanna Drive in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Wednesday, marking the Caribbean island's Independence Day.
The Grammy -winning singer, 29, looked incredible as she turned heads in a bold canary yellow shirt-style mini-dress from Hellessy, which hung off her shoulders to showcase her decolletage.
The Shut Up And Drive hitmaker complemented her thigh-skimming number with matching stiletto heels and a tiny purse, huge gold hoops, several necklaces and spangly bracelets added a bling factor to Rihanna's look as she joined Prime Minister Freundel Stuart at the two-hour ceremony.
The pop princess wore her raven locks piled on top of her head and accentuated her naturally striking looks with low-key make-up.
In spite of the rain, Rihanna seemed in high spirits as she attended the ceremony, smiling and waving to fans as she strolled through the streets of her hometown.
The songstress also shared a snap of the sign itself on Instagram on Thursday.
In the image, the new hardware can be seen attached to a wooden post, along with the caption 'on any block.'
The Work hitmaker grew up on Westbury New Road in the Caribbean island's capital Bridgetown, and last month officials decided to change the name of the avenue to honor the local 'superstar'.
The statement read: 'The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honor of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road.'
Rihanna is fiercely proud of her Bajan heritage and has kept strong links with the island, regularly traveling back to see friends and family and attend the annual Kadooment Day street party.
The musician was discovered in Barbados back in 2003 by music producer Evan Rogers and moved to New York City in 2005 when she signed a record deal with Def Jam after auditioning for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid.
Rihanna went on to become the first-ever Barbadian to win a Grammy and still owns a $22million property on the island's exclusive One Sandy Lane resort.
In December 2016, the songstress joined forces with Prince Harry during his 15-day tour of the Caribbean.
As well as teaming up for a series of celebratory events to mark the country's 50th anniversary of independence, the pair both volunteered for HIV tests to highlight World Aids Day.
In 2012, the singer said growing up in Barbados gave her 'a thick skin' because she was 'teased about being biracial' while she was at school.
Speaking in an interview with ITV, she explained: 'A lot of the reason why I am the way that I am and my character has a lot to do with my culture.
'It really helped to have a thick skin coming from Barbados. I definitely had to learn fast how to ignore things or not let it bother me.
'From the time I was very young, I was teased about being biracial. That was one of the first things I dealt with, then it went on throughout high school.
'If it wasn't one thing it was the other thing. In my home, a lot of the things I saw helped prepare me for this world.'
Rihanna - who is now in a relationship with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel - is believed to have a net worth of $230 million as of April 2017.
The star has amassed eight Grammys throughout her career and is one of the best-selling artists of all time, bagging fourteen number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

After Jude by Dashia

I was in class when Jude called. I'd been so absorbed in Mr Patrick's lecture, I'd forgotten the mental note Fatima had sent me to put my phone in silent. But, I was lucky, my phone rang when everyone was murmuring a little noisily in disagreement to what the lecturer has said. I hurriedly searched through my bag and rejected the call just as Mr Patrick rose his voice to tell the class to be silent. My heart thumped in my chest, Mr Patrick normally didn't take this kind of nonsense in his class. The class returned to its former state; silent, but my mind was no longer in the lecture. I put my phone on silent and watched it ring a second time. Jude called again, my face broke in a smile... my Jude. "Eunice, I like the smile on your face__" The man's voice sounded like a whip. It felt like he suddenly grabbed my heart and tried to yank it off. Everybody turned, I was sitting on the third row. Oh! I really hated times like this. I quickly rose my head to ...

KELIS WANTS MORE MILKSHAKE IN CHILD SUPPORT

Kelis wants more milkshakes in her yard...or at least more money in her pocket. TMZ reports that Kelis filed legal papers against her ex-husband Nas to cough up more money in child support. According to the gossip news site, Kelis is saying that the current ruling of $8,000 a month isn't enough to take care of their eight-year-old son, Knight. The original order was put in place five years ago when their son was three. But now, that he's a bit older, Kelis is arguing that Knight has more needs and that those needs come at a cost. TMZ also claims that the paperwork argues that since Nas is a lot more well off now than he was a few years ago so he should be able to afford it. Kelis didn't say how much more she wants, but she does want at least 50 percent of Knight's school-related costs, child care needs and unreimbursed health care fees. This news comes a month after the two settled their custody battle allowing Nas "four full weekends over Januar...
