George Clooney Gives 14 Friends $1 Million Each

Getty One time, George Clooney reportedly gathered 14 of his closest friends to his home and gave each a designer suitcase filled with $1 million, presented in $20 bills. He also told the gathering he had paid their taxes for a year. George Clooney, it seems, is a very good friend. This story was recounted Wednesday by Rande Gerber, Clooney's friend and Casamigos partner (and Cindy Crawford's husband), on MSNBC's Headliners, ET reports. "There’s a group of guys we call 'The Boys,'" Gerber said. "George had called me and 'The Boys' and said, 'Hey, mark September 27th, 2013, on your calendar. Everyone’s going to come to my house for dinner.'" "The Boys" included both wealthy men and men who fit more under the "struggling artist" category, as Clooney once did, Gerber said. He recalled Clooney telling "The Boys," "I came to L.A., I slept on your couch. I'm so fortunate in m

Tekno & Drake To Collaborate

For the past few summers, Drake has been heating up charts with his dancehall-infused club bangers, and he may be cooking up some more tropical-tinged cuts to add to his extensive repertoire. On Monday, Drake posted a picture of him and Nigerian artist Tekno , a possible hint that new music from the two artists could be arriving soon. The photo was taken at what appears to be a restaurant as Tekno was in mid-conversation with Drake attentively listening. The pair continued to fuel speculation by posting a series of teasers like a screenshot captured from Drake's Instagram Story, where Tekno is sitting at a soundboard in a studio, and a photo Tekno shared of him and Drake captioned "B A S E D R O P." Aside from a possible collaboration with Tekno, Drake also shared a photo of him and his Young Money mentor Lil Wayne reunited with the caption "D6," leaving many to wonder whether Drizzy will appear on Wayne's upcoming Christmas-release mixtape De

After Jude by Dashia. Chapter 11

10 It was Monday. I walked towards my department quietly. I'd told Fatima I wasn't coming back on Sunday till Monday. She wanted to kill me. I knew she missed me around. My parents had come back that Saturday and had helped me prepare for school. Things were a little awkward between me and Jessica. Maybe she couldn't handle it that her elder sister had had sex with her boyfriend instead of waiting till marriage. I had no regrets. Jessica wasn't like me. She was a good girl that was a genuine good girl. I'd gone to apologize to her after I had put myself together. She shrugged it off and said it was okay. She understood totally. She was only shocked I was that open to her. She liked and appreciated it. So, I lied. I had come back Sunday. I'd left before they made it to church. I got to Jos by 10am and slept. I didn't tell Fatima I was coming back because I wanted to clean up and because she was going to disturb me. So, I walked to school this Monday m

After Jude By Dashia. Chapter 10

I'd spent close to two weeks at home. It was Saturday, I'd told Esther to come with me to the pharmacy. Our parents had gone for a wedding at Kafanchan with Daniel. Jessica had refused going, she didn't like our village. I walked silently with Esther. I'd gone to see Dayo on Wednesday. He had been delighted to see me. He was fairer than I remembered and slimmer, with his sweet bright smile. "The real bae." He hugged me. He smelt fresh, he smelt alive. I felt dead. With his handsome face. "Dayo." "Why are you looking sick? You look slimmer." He asked with concern while we sat down. "See who is talking." "Its not a joke. You don't look okay." "I'm fine. Honestly." We were at a restaurant, I tried to live in the words I told him. I was fine. We talked a lot, about Fatima, Chinelo, a new girl he'd put up as his display picture on WhatsApp, Modesty, a girl who wouldn't stop disturbi

50 Cent Wins Lawsuit

Getty Images 50 Cent gets another win in the legal realm. Remember that $200 million lawsuit he was facing over his hit show, Power ? The case has been thrown out. As previously reported, writer Larry Johnson levied the suit back in September of 2015. He claimed that he gave a manuscript he wrote titled,Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid , to Nikki Turner at G-Unit Books in 2005. He went on to allege the manuscript was passed to 50 who ripped off the story and used it for the hit Starz series. After two years in litigation, a judge has sided with the Queens rap mogul. TMZ is reporting the judge in the case was unconvinced by the evidence Johnson brought forth. He determined that the elements in the manuscript and television show are common to the crime drama noting, “One need only look to such shows and movies as The Wire , Empire , Breaking Bad , Narcos ,Weeds, Carlito’s Way , American Gangster , New Jack City, Scarface and Paid in Full.” Power has continued to be one of the hotte

3 Ways To Create A Winning and Healthy Mindset

3 WAYS TO CREATE A WINNING AND HEALTHY MINDSET One of the biggest determining factors whether someone lives a life of major contribution and greatness or ends up going to their grave with all of their potential still inside of them is mindset -- how we think and feel, largely about ourselves. Think of your mind as the Grand Master , the ruler of your destiny, because that's exactly what it is. How we think and feel is determined by how we see the world, and how we see the world is determined by how we see ourselves. Unfortunately, when something goes wrong in someone’s life, they begin to look at the world and themselves with a limited vision. They put on blinders and neglect to see all of the potential that is still out in front of them. The failure, hardship or pain that they are currently experiencing completely shrinks their belief system and takes over their thought processes. It's our job to change this cycle and get ourselves back on track by reconditi

After Jude by Dashia. Chapter 9

Jessica my sister could be a real pain in the butt, sometimes, I thought she was meant to have been Fatima's sister. It was my fourth day back home in Abuja and she'd refused going back to school so she'd be with me... She could be sweet too. We'd done all the house chores and since Almighty NEPA wanted us to know they were our superiors, we stayed in darkness. My mum was asleep and my dad had gone to work. So as not to feel extra bored, I played Black Eyed Peas' 'I gotta feeling' and the girl kept jumping and dancing like a monkey. My brother had had enough and begged me to stop the song as Jess wouldn't just dance but sing along with it. "Please... if you love me as much as you claim... Stop this song." He begged. I shook my head with so much emphasis. "No." "Watch and learn baby." She said dancing towards him in a strut. "What does he want to learn in your monkey dance?" I asked her. "At least

After Jude by Dashia. Chapter 8

My parents left around four that evening but Esther insisted she'd stay at my place for the night. We left Jude's family house by seven. Fatima and Esther engaged me in a very useless conversation, it had no direction but just so it wouldn't make them feel bad, I followed up. Dayo called me later that evening. "The real bae." His voice was rich with laughter. Mehn, when was the last time I heard someone laugh? "Dayo." I tried to laugh too. "How are you jor?" Dayo was my very close friend. We'd been friends right from my secondary school and were this >< close to dating. I really didn't know why we didn't date eventually, he was schooling in the east now... and his family had relocated. So instead of lovers, we were close friends. I hadn't told him about Jude's death. During the entire time, I didn't make any public announcement on social media. I didn't want any condolences anymore so Dayo not knowing
