TRUMPS RESPONDS TO JAY Z

Jay Z-Trump
President Donald Trump criticized Jay-Z on his Twitter feed, likely in response to the rap mogul’s denunciations of the US leader in an interview. “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!” Trump tweeted.

Trump was accurately pointing to record-low unemployment for US minorities, although critics note that the US economic expansion began well before under his predecessor Barack Obama.
Jay-Z, who along with his wife Beyonce became friends and political allies of Obama, in the interview broadcast Saturday on CNN said that Trump’s belittling remarks toward people of color overshadowed any employment data.

“Money doesn’t equate to happiness. It doesn’t. That’s missing the whole point,” said Jay-Z, no stranger to flashing his material wealth.“You treat people like human beings, then that’s the main point,” he told host Van Jones, a former aide to Obama.

Jay-Z said that Trump’s election laid bare the persistence of racism in the United States and voiced dismay at the president’s reported quip that he did not want immigrants coming from “shithole” countries in Africa or predominantly black Haiti.

“It’s real hurtful. Because it’s looking down at a whole population of people and it’s so misinformed because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything,” Jay-Z said.

Jay-Z is in the running for eight Grammys on Sunday amid acclaim for his latest album “4:44,” a strikingly introspective work in which he addresses institutional racism, apologizes to Beyonce for infidelity and supports his mother as she comes out as a lesbian.

Jay-Z on Saturday night received an award as an “industry icon” at a pre-Grammy gala, where the rapper voiced contrition for boycotting the music industry’s prize night two decades earlier.

After Jude by Dashia. Chapter 9

Jessica my sister could be a real pain in the butt, sometimes, I thought she was meant to have been Fatima's sister. It was my fourth day back home in Abuja and she'd refused going back to school so she'd be with me... She could be sweet too. We'd done all the house chores and since Almighty NEPA wanted us to know they were our superiors, we stayed in darkness. My mum was asleep and my dad had gone to work. So as not to feel extra bored, I played Black Eyed Peas' 'I gotta feeling' and the girl kept jumping and dancing like a monkey. My brother had had enough and begged me to stop the song as Jess wouldn't just dance but sing along with it. "Please... if you love me as much as you claim... Stop this song." He begged. I shook my head with so much emphasis. "No." "Watch and learn baby." She said dancing towards him in a strut. "What does he want to learn in your monkey dance?" I asked her. "At least...

Floyd Mayweather Sues Ex

Floyd Mayweather accuses ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson of theft. Floyd Mayweather is accusing his former fiancée Shantel Jackson of stealing “large sums of cash” during their relationship, a legal move that comes days before her domestic violence lawsuit against the boxer is due to get a trial date. The undefeated fighter made the theft claim in a cross-complaint filed this week along with his formal answer to Jackson’s 2014 lawsuit alleging assault, battery, invasion of privacy and defamation. When Jackson first sued three years ago, she accused Mayweather of choking her during an argument, pointing a gun at her head, posting a sonogram photo on Facebook and publicly accusing her of aborting their twins. Jackson and Mayweather had an 8-year romantic relationship and lived together from 2008 through 2013, the boxer’s new paperwork filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court states. Mayweather claims Jackson gained his confidence during that time and learned intimate detail...

After Jude by Dashia. Page 2

I was cooking when he came into the kitchen. I liked it when he was around, Jude had a way of making me smile, I didn't know how he did it but he always made me smile. I was preparing rice and stew, he had said he didn't want something much so he wouldn't have to waste it. I on the other hand, had wanted making it a party for both of us... well, a farewell party for the now, he was done with school and was going to serve. I was proud of him, I wanted to celebrate it but he said no. He didn't mind celebrating it but he wanted celebrating it with just me. After I had come over, we had gone to his family house. His parents and immediate younger sister were home. She'd helped put some of his stuff together while I helped mumsy in the kitchen. His family was my family, I'd had a hard time blending in, but once I got the heat of everything, they became family, I became family. They had wanted us to stay for supper, I had turned down the offer, my excuse being that...
